I just got done reading the best ebook I've read in getting free traffic. It focuses on traffic exchanges... Sorry to tell you, but if you use traffic exchanges in an ineffective way, they don't work very well!
Fortunately you can compound the effect of the traffic exchange, as well as generate targeted traffic if you know the secrets.

Basically you sign up to the traffic exchanges and create a blog or site similar to this with your referral link.
If you have an autoresponder service, also post an "opt in" for the free ebook on traffic exchanges.
Also you will join affiliate programs and promote them as well
Join as an affiliate for the following links

post instructions for others to do the same.
People like you who use traffic exchanges want one thing that they ALL have in common... TRAFFIC!
Of course they, like you, are interested in getting more traffic.
So sign up to multiple traffic exchanges, create a blog signing others up for these exchanges... sign up for affiliate programs related to traffic, and direct your traffic exchanges to these sites. By getting credits from people who view your sites, you will get more credits leading to more visitors, leading to more credits, etc...
If you have something else to promote that you must promote, simply put a link to that at the top, and the traffic exchanges below.
This way the traffic is self perpetuating as more and more people sign up, you get more credits and more and more visitors. Over time, that traffic will convert!
